Good Morning!!!! How is everyone? I am great! I actually had a hilarious dream last night and woke myself up laughing. Isn’t that crazy?! I have never done that before…it was a great way to wake up
Last night before bed, I had a mug of chamomile tea.
I slept well and got up at 5:10 am(dedications, I tell ya!) to get ready to meet my friend Ashley for a little Body Pump action! While on the train, I snacked on a kashi dark mocha almond bar.
I know I have said I dislike these, but I think they are kind of growing on me
We did 72 in it’s entirety, since next week is the launch of 73. We actually got a little sneak peak of the lunge track for 73. I loved it, all I will say is there is not 1 squat in the whole track. EEEKKK!!!! In the process of walking around the gym, I managed to loose my ipod. I don’t really want to talk about it as I am really sad and stressed about it.
I have no idea what I am going to do
I guess I have two options: buy a new one or buy headphone and an armband for my iphone and just use that. Anyone run with their iPhone? Is it too bulky?
After BP (and searching high and low for my ipod) I showered and got ready for work. Breakfast was pumpkin oats and a grande bold with two pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup and half and half eaten at my desk while getting a few things done in peace and quiet!
Pumpkin Oats:
- 1/3 of a cup of oat meal
- 2/3 of a cup of water
- 1/2 of a banana
- 3 spoonfuls of pumpkin
- cinnamon
- 1 spoonful of peanut butter.
Today’s outfit:
All from the Gap, brown boots from Nine West. The best part is my stained glass earrings.

“Ask Me Anything” Questions:
Q: hey, i love your blog! you are healthy, inspiring, and not crazy !! a great balance. i am trying to lose my last few pounds, and what hurts me is the after dinner snacking. when you were losing weight, did you cut out ‘dessert’ all together, or what are some healthy suggestions to eat after dinner and still lose weight?
A: No, no, no, I never cut out dessert
I am only cutting it out now because I gave it up for Lent
I have a few suggestions for you for sure:
- A small piece of dark chocolate. I rip off little pieces and suck on then until they melted…divine!
- A dark chocolate vitamuffin top with 1/2 a tablespoon of peanut butter. It is like a warm peanut butter cup.
- A dark chocolate oatmeal Kashi cookie with a cup of tea.
- 1/2 a cup of frozen yogurt.
All are under 150 calories and will satisfy your sweet tooth!
I am accepting “Ask Me Anything” Questions until tomorrow at midnight….gasp! So hurry up and get them in. To submit an question, click here.

Sorry about your ipod! Lately I’ve only been running on the treadmill so I’ve been using my iphone and just setting it on the base of the treadmill. The cool thing about using you iphone is you can get the pandora app for free if you don’t already have it. It’s a nice change if you ever get sick of the songs you have on itunes or just want to change it up some!
ps. Love your earings!
I use the Pandora app when I run on the treadmill and I absolutely love it! I can get such a variety of music without having to buy it off iTunes, and I find new songs/artists that I wasn’t familiar with before.
I use an armband, and while it’s definitely bulkier than my Nano, I got used to it pretty quickly and now it doesn’t bother me at all.
I’ve been using my iphone a lot lately. I purchased an arm band and you notice it being there, but its not a distraction. The main reason i started using it was becuase i’m training for a half marathon. I’ve been dying for a garmin to help me track my runs but just can’t justify the expense at this point in time. There are some great iphone apps that essentially do the same thing as the garmin.
I have a Garmin and I love it!!!!!! I am hoping I won’t notice it on my arm, I plan on using it for music.
Another blogger was talking about dreams this morning and I told her about the weird dream I had last night:
My husband and I were driving and were getting pulled over by state troopers. My husband took a long time pulling over and I was freaking out b/c I thought the troopers were going to think we were running.
When we finally stopped (on a patch of grass next to a wooded area) I got out of the car. Suddenly we were in front of a club. Then Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan (Golden Girls) waved at me and we had a conversation as though we were old friends. Then I saw the troopers waiting for me and told the ladies I had to go.
Weird, huh? BTW, I run with a G1 Android phone and it’s a lot bigger than an iPhone because it has a slide out keyboard. I’m sure you would get used to it. Plus there are probably a lot of apps that you could use to keep track of your route and pace (though I know you have a Garmin).
awww sooo fun to wake up laughing! you are dedicated to be getting up earlyyy for your workout…but I know your body loves you for it!! LOVE the Starbucks! and your earrings are super cute..i loveee accessories! I hope you’re having a great thursday!!
I want to try body pump so bad but have no idea if they even offer it here in my area! would you have any idea where i could find a class?
http://saladdiva.wordpress.com
I am not sure…here is the class locator, maybe there is one near you.

I’d buy a shuffle! They’re MUCH cheaper and ideal for working out — clip onto your clothes, weigh nothing and you can switch up the music so easily…
I always run with my iPhone (if I’m running outside). I had to experiment with a couple of different arm bands, but once I found one that worked, I hardly even noticed it.
I had more luck with the “cuff” kind of arm band over the kind where the iPhone clips into an armband. The clip kind bounced around too much.
Plus, I found one at TJ Maxx for cheap-o!
THat is so funny that you woke up laughing! One time my husband woke me up because he was trying to ride his bike in his sleep. It was set up on a trainer and he was trying to ride it into the closet. Funniest moment of my life, by far!
Ugh I lost my Ipod at the gym too. I left it somewhere and of course someone grabbed it for themselves. Such a bummer!
Thanks! I think that is what I will do!
I run with my iphone. I like it, it doesn’t bother me to much really. Except it’s not great for long runs…i find the batter dies pretty quickly. i have the irun app and it kinds of starts to act quirky after about 5 miles. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my iphone but i think im going to purchase a shuffle for my music and in the future a garmin and save my iphone
That is too bad about your pod! There’s a great ‘gear test’ about iphone holders, and it seems like some of them work really well but I’ve never used them — http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/01/20/fashion/20100121-physical-slideshow_index.html
