Hey everyone! It is a rainy Saturday here in Boston! After my last post, I hurried off to Body Pump. I had a great workout, I worked so hard there was sweat dripping from my elbows AGAIN!
I have gotten a lot of e-mails and questions about Body Pump. You guys can learn more about Body Pump by clicking here. For those who are local who asked me about being able to go without a membership. I looked into it for you guys today. All Healthoworks Locations, offer it and you can get a day pass for $10 which will give you access to the gym all day. Let me know if you guys are interested in doing a BP meet-up
After BP I headed to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods to get some groceries. While driving back towards home, I was thinking about how unorganized certain parts of out apartment are. You guys have seen my cubicle, so you can tell I am a pretty organized person. I have been having a hard time functioning with such disorganization. I know we just bought a house, but with all the work that needs to be done on it, I am sure we will be living in this apartment for a little over a year. So, I came to the realization that SOMETHING needed to be done!
I stopped at Target to see if I could get some inspiration. And…inspiration, I got! $200 worth!!!!!!!
Here are some before and after pictures of parts of my apt. that now look like a million bucks!!!
First of all, I felt like we underused the space in this corner of our kitchen and out trash basket has been broken for months now so it needed to be replaced.

And….the top of out fridge is a SIN! It is where we have been keeping all our snacks and it is so disorganized not to mention we can’t see ANYTHING so things got bad before we eat them- I am actually a little embarrassed to show this to you guys.

AFTER:

Yup! I build that little thing of draws all by myself!!!! I am my dad’s daughter and proud of it! The top two draws have snacks, and the bottom one has cereal, oatmeal and granola!!!!

That has freed up room on top of our fridge, that now houses some of our appliances.

Which, in turn, freed up some cabinet and counter space. So, overall my kitchen is about 100% more functional than before. YAY! I spend so much time there, I need to make sure that it is functional. We now have a new trash basket that is fully functional too!!
My next task was out desk area of out living room.

Yeah, pretty much a disaster!
After:

I moved the couch over a little and move the round table over too. Now I can use the lamp when reading (text books…blah). I bought some bins for all of our books and organized them on the floor.

To the right of that, I bought some desk organizing stuff, hung a painting done by my Nana and made us a mini home office instead of the mess that was there. Adam is calling it the official office of Food, Fitness Fashion.
Next up was the end table in out bedroom. I usually take off my earring and stuff and throw then there.

After:

Better, right? I love this little organizer!!! Those are all pictures of my mom, Nana, and I. I love looking at all three generations every morning as I get ready. You can also see my Nan’s High School photo and her music box.
I also organized out sports/workout stuff too, but forgot to take pictures. Between Adam’s golf anggym stuff and all my running, yoga and strength training gear...it was a HOT MESS!!! I am hoping to tackle some bathroom cabinets and the linen closet in the few weeks, along with my cleaning supply cabinet.
While shopping I snacked on a kashi bar I found in the very bottom of my purse.

Lunch was a buffalo chicken wrap. I used left over chicken from Thursday Night, with buffalo sauce, american cheese and a whole wheat wrap to make a pressed wrap on the Forman.

For some green I had left over green beans from Thursday too.

Today’s outfit was comfy and casual, as I am just doing stuff around the house.

Cashmere sweats (Juicy Couture), Cream tank (American Eagle), Gold Headband (J CREW). These cashmere sweats are one of my favorite things is the world. Soft, warm and cute
Now I am relaxing and celebrating my hard work with a pumpkin beer.

I got a 4 pack at whole foods today. It is Dogfish.

Look at that description! Sounds so great, yeah?

Well, I am going to hang out with my boys, and watch the BC game! This post has taken so long because every so often Adam decides that we need to have a dance party to get the BC football players pumped up- like they can see into our living room. When Adam feels like a dance party is in order, I crank up the ipod, and Oscar and I stop whatever we are doing to humor Ad. See you guys later

ohhh that pumpkin ale looks GOOD!!!!!! I need to get my hands on some!
Wow, awesome organizing!! I love that little jewelry thingie. I love how your finace has dance parties, too cute.
So glad you watched the BC game! I was on the BC cheering team last year. I was really hoping they would be Notre Dame but it just didn’t work out. Grrrr!
We are a BC Family! My Dad and Adam go to every home game! Dad had season tix!
